Behind the Prop

E050 - Mission Based Time Building

Episode Summary

All pilots who want to pursue this passion professionally will hit a stage or two where their sole mission is to build time. For example you'll need several cross country P.I.C. hours before you're eligible to get your instrument rating. The commercial certificate requires 250 hours of total time (or 200 if you're part 141). So why not build time doing something fun that challenges your flying skills while making you a better pilot! We've got some great tips and ideas to help you do just that on this week's all new episode of Behind The Prop!

Episode Notes

Build flight time quicker and more effectively by building time with a purpose!  Options include flying friends, flying to go grab food or catch a sporting event, or even joining an organization that flies medical patients to appointments across your state.  Take up a kid and share the incredible gift that is flight.  Who knows, maybe you'll light a fire inside and inspire another future aviator.  There's so many great ways to build time, and this week we're talking about a few of the ways to do it right!
